The 'TREND’ in town!

It was that time of the year again. An eventful four days took place at St.Regis where established and upcoming designers showcased their Autumn/Winter Collection for the Lakme Fashion Week.
Just like Game of Thrones Episode 9, we all tend to wait for the finale shows of everyday. This season TRENDS earlier known as Reliance Trends presented the finale show for day 3 in association with the King of Minimal Rajesh Pratap Singh.
Spotted at the show were Mugdha Godse, Rahul Dev, designer Rohit Bal and the who’s who of the film and fashion industry.

The brand revealed its new identity as ‘TRENDS’ for the trendsetters! We often look up to celebrities and bloggers for inspiration when it comes to fashion. Along with celebrities, people who have gained accolades for being the FIRST in their field to achieve are trendsetters too. Hence, TRENDS took this initiative to celebrate them.

TRENDS presents Rajesh Pratap Singh wasn’t just another fashion show. Along with models, the runway was set ablaze by Aisha Abdullah, Ujjwala Raut, Imaad Shah, DJ Gaurav Madan and the showstopper for the show – Jacqueline Fernandez.

To look my best at the show, I stopped by at the TRENDS store to pick my outfit. Florals, Vibrant Colors, Monochrome and various prints were a part of the Autumn/ Winter collection at the store. After an hour of trials, I found the perfect outfit.

The designer took inspiration from the Punjabi Suit. The attention to detailing with a modern twist to the Punjabi Suit seemed comfortably stylish. Prints like Ikat, Stripes and Windowpane were majorly noticed. When it came to menswear, he chose to pair formal jackets with wide-legged trousers. With Clean Cuts, Neutral and Pastel Tones along with the re-invention of comfort wear, Rajesh Pratap Singh has won my heart and has surely set a new TREND.

Make your Home free from any Dampness. Fix it now with Dr.Fixit!

With the onset of monsoon showers, we as humans get ready to brace the detoriation in our health with viral fever, cold, etc. Our home walls just like us, experience health issues in the form of dampness, cracks and leakage.

During the rainy season, moisture from the rains seeps through the exterior of our buildings into the interiors of our home walls that creates dampness and cracks in our walls that stay put even after the monsoons.

Just like we take care of our health by visiting the doctor, we need to take care of our homes too.
To take care of the health of our homes, we need to fix the problem. And, to fix the problem, Dr.Fixit by Pidilite comes to play. Every year, my home would experience dampness and cracks. From ceiling cracks to wall dampness, fungus in my hall and the paint peeling off, the rains would terrify me.Every time I would be having guests over, I had to re-place the furniture against the walls just to hide the cracks. And, this would keep continuing until I had to re-paint the whole house just before festivities like Ganesh Chaturthi and Diwali.

Re-painting the whole house with wall putti every year would burn a hole in my wallet. Hence, temporary solutions like these will not fix the problem. To find a permanent solution, I came across waterproofing techniques by Dr.Fixit that give you a life-long solution i.e life - long health to your homes.

So what is waterproofing?
A thin layer of water resistant material is applied in our homes in order to prevent water from entering into the walls. Waterproofing of our terrace, basement, kitchen, balconies and bathrooms are of utmost importance. These are the places where rainwater comes into first contact with our walls.

To waterproof your home, one need not break past the wall plaster to reach to brick level. The water resistant material is directly applied on the damp internal wall by brush. Due to its quick drying technology, the waterproofing is done very quickly.

For freedom from dampnees and leakages, companies like Dr.Fixit provide a team of dedicated technical experts for site inspection who compile timely solution and recommendation reports. Dr Fixit also has trained applicators who are the ambassadors for good waterproofing workmanship. The continuous efforts taken by Dr.Fixit aim for a leakage free India.

And, to support this initiative by Dr.Fixit and to cure the cracks to my and your home walls, I suggest the use of Dr.FixitCrackXShrinkfree. This superior quality waterproof coating would prevent the seepage of rainwater into your home walls.

Like I mentioned, waterproofing of bathrooms is of utmost importance since the bathroom is exposed to rainwater regularly. Repairing a bathroom can definitely be an expensive tool. To save on some money, we tend to neglect the bathroom area. But, Dr.Fixit’sBathseal range of products like the Bathseal Tape for the strong bonding between the PVC and the cement and the Bathseal 2K for the economical waterproof coating for sunken portion of your bathroom can prevent recurring repairs in the future. Also, make sure your drain the water in your bathroom only though pipes!

Mr. Bachchan also cares for his home and hence, his waterproofing doctor is Dr.Fixit. Check out the video to know what happened to his home:

Festival Shopping with BIBA India

It's the season to look pretty! With Raksha Bandhan, Ganesh Chaturthi and other festivities coming our way, wouldn't we all love to wear new outfits?
Since we all tend to wear casual outfits on a daily basis, it does feel nice to put on a traditional outfit every once in a while.
I am not a Saree Person ; considering it takes so much time to drape one and it does feel uncomfortable throughout the day. Hence, I opt for  Anarkali Suits that can not only be worn on religious festivities or weddings but, also on a casual lunch with your family and friends.
Keeping the festivals in mind, BIBA – a leading ethnic wear brand does come to mind too! Rich fabrics, Flowy silhouettes and a wide range of colors and prints form a part of the ethnic brand.
All the brothers, listen up! Raksha Bandhan is around the corner and if you still haven't gotten around to getting a gift for your sister. It's time!
BIBA India has a wide range of Anarkali Suits with vivid colors and prints! They have something for every girl who likes to dress it up or stay minimal.
Now, you must be thinking that since you are so caught up in work, you wouldn't have the time to actually go to the store and purchase the outfit right? Well, there's a solution for that too!

The BIBA Official Online Store, India lets you purchase the outfit online with a heavy discount on most Anarkali's. All you have to do is go through the website and pick the right size!
While browsing through the website to pick my outfit for the coming festivals, I couldn't get my eyes off the extensive collection of Anarkali's by BIBA. From floor length Anarkali's that seem like a modernized version of an evening gown, pleated anarkali's that make you look thin to Anarkali Kurta’s with Pakistani Pants, they have it all!
I believe that an Indian Woman’s closet is incomplete without an Anarkali outfit! With BIBA India giving you almost a flat 50% discount on their Anarkali suits, they are definitely a must-buy!
Here are a few of my favorites from the collection :

1. This Anarkali Suit by Rohit Bal is my favorite! The subtle print, the Pakistani Pants and the Bandh-Gala has caught my fancy!

2. The intricate detailing on the chest and the dupatta with the solid blue color is perfect for a casual outing with your family.
 3. I can definitely see myself and my mum wearing the same Anarkali suit set. Did you notice the floral motif on the neck? Isn't that pretty?
 4. For someone who likes to dress it up, this is the perfect Anarkali Suit set for any kind of occasion. This pleated suit set not only flatters your body type but also makes you look thin!
 5. White and Gold is a winning combination! #EnoughSaid
 6. This floor length Anarkali Suit set boasts of the floral motif print along with the red piping and sequin detailing on the neckline.
