Mix It Up! Fix it Up!

I'm all for experimenting when it comes to prints and colors. With the onset of the summer season, floral prints are pretty much going to be a major part of your everyday wardrobe. While I was looking for something effortless yet stylish, I slipped on this white camisole and these striped high-waisted shorts from Bangkok. The sheer floral shrug from StalkBuyLove blended well with the high-waisted shorts. I love how the material of this shrug is so fluid and comfortable for the summers.

Also, remember to keep one key piece as a solid color that would neutralize and balance the whole look. For example, the plain white camisole in my look.

Since I wanted to keep my look feminine as well as sporty, I paired my favorite sneakers and a tan Lavie backpack.

Check out the detailed look :

When in Bangkok....

For those of you who have been following me on my social media channels ; are very well aware of the fact that I spent the last few months travelling to some of my favorite and popular destinations.
My favorite amongst all of them was Bangkok considering it is very economical and is on the to-do list of every shopaholic.

I stayed at Avani Atrium at New Petchburi Road, Bang Kapi. The hotel is just 3.4 kms away from Pratunum Market and Platinum Fashion Mall where I spent major of my time shopping.

The breakfast at the hotel is served in a pagoda shaped breakfast room along the waterside. The hotel also provides for free shuttle bus service to the shopping destinations.

The hotel features swimming pool, gym, discotheque, beauty salon, sauna, jacuzzi and a massage centre. Your stay also includes complimentary Wi-Fi service.

This was the view from my room on the 12th floor. Sky rise buildings and the fast-moving cars are a treat to the eyes.

The Cab service is much more cheaper than the Tuk-Tuk's. It took me 55 baht to reach the Pratunum Market from the hotel from a cab whereas the Tuk-Tuk's charge you anywhere from 150 to 200 baht. You could also opt for the gutter boat which is much more faster and costs around 10 to 20 baht.

The Night Market outside Platinum Mall is one of my favorite destinations to shop at. Cheap finds from crop tops and tee's worth 100 baht and Topshop and Zara finds at 300 baht. On Saturdays and Sundays you could visit the Chatuchak Market where you could shop alongside some live music.

Just next to the D Night Market are a line of massage centres. Opt for a full body thai massage or the neck and shoulder thai massage. But, make sure you get the massage before 9 or 10 p.m. since their rates go higher after 10 p.m. Massage rates vary from 500 baht to 600 baht for full body massage.

If you are looking at getting to Bangkok, make sure you check out the fares at Jet Airways. A return ticket to Bangkok would cost you around 20 to 22 thousand if booked a week prior. Plus, they are running the Best Price Promise program.

I have been using the Fit Me Foundation in 310 Sun Beige and Fit Me Pressed Powder in 220 Natural Buff for more than a week now. I have always been obsessed with Maybelline New York products since they are budget friendly and work well on the Indian Skin Tone. Hence, I had to get my hands on the new #FitMe Range.

I have been using the Maybelline Dream Satin Foundation in shade B4 for more than a year now and cannot switch to anything else. Considering there's a new foundation from the same brand, I decided to switch only if it suited my skin.

Firstly, the Fit Me foundation is AMAZING! It blends so well thus, covering every spot on my face! I kind of use it like a concealer when I do not want to put excess makeup on my face. Just dab dab dab and the foundation acts like a concealer for your under eyes.

The only con about the foundation is that it does not have a squeeze pump which the Dream Satin Foundation has. With an open cap there's always a risk of wastage. Priced at 525/- , the foundation is available in 6 different shades for normal and oily to sensitive skin. I chose my shade with this Fit Me Application : http://www.amazon.in/l/8988059031 . You can choose your shade too!

Well, to be honest I was not a fan of the Fit Me Pressed Powder. My Skin does get dry after applying the foundation and the Fit Me Pressed Powder made it appear drier. The Pressed Powder is priced at 475/- and is available is 56 shades : Natural Beige, Buff Beige, Sun Beige, Natural Buff etc. But, if you do have oily skin, then do try out the Pressed Powder to set your makeup!

Winter Wedding Diaries

It's been a long time since I posted an outfit post. Well, I'm just going to hide my laziness under the term 'Writer's Block.'
Anyways, quality over quantity right?

Winters call for attending numerous wedding ceremonies. Now, we all tend to stock up on more everyday wear outfits rather than something traditional. When it comes to me, I rarely wear anything traditional hence, I had to figure something from the limited wardrobe that I had.
People don’t really pay attention to what you wear on the sangeet, haldi or mehendi function. But, you do want to make an impact on the ‘phera’s’ and the evening reception.
Since the ‘phera’s’ were held in the day, I chose this gold embroidered crop top from StalkBuyLove and paired it up with metallic gold palazzo’s. Minimal accessories like this statement gold cuff and pearl chandelier earrings were my go-to accessories! To amp up my outfit, I wore my ankle bracelet on my arm as an arm cuff to give it an edge. When it comes to footwear, I always prefer something comfortable like wedges or flat sandals! Check out my detailed look below :

You could also pair this crop top like a blouse with a white or gold lehenga or wear it with your denims for a day out with friends!

For the evening reception, I chose to go ALL-GLAM!
I picked this oxblood velvet gown with side pleats from StalkBuyLove that got me all the right attention and compliments for the evening. Bling-y accessories and the right amount of confidence is all that you need to carry off any outfit with elegance!

In Search of Incredible - ASUS ZenPad 8.0

For me, Fashion and Technology go hand in hand. You may think that as a blogger, we only tend to hoard up on clothes. Well, let me prove you wrong today! As much as we love our clothing, as bloggers; we NEED our ‘SuperGadgets.’ From portable Power Banks, Go Pros, a phone each for our personal and professional calls to an inconvenient laptop to write down our posts.

A Tablet is the most convenient alternative to carrying your laptop everywhere you go. Although, I’ve detested the idea of carrying a life sized tablet that could never fit into my tiny hands, the new ASUS ZenPad 8.0 (Z380KL) has changed my perception about tablets.

With new phones and tablets, comes the pain of transferring your data and updating all your applications. The in-built data transfer application can transfer all your data in no time!

Also, say bye bye to using your camera as a mirror. The ZenPad 8.0 has a superior quality in-built mirror application that lets you powder your nose and re-touch your last minute lipstick.

With great megapixels, comes great selfies. The ZenPad 8.0 features an 8.0 primary camera and a 2.0 secondary camera without flash. The rear camera is located at the top left and supports wide angle shots. The rear camera lacks detail and sharpness but it is sufficient for a tablet. The primary camera records videos at 1080p, while the secondary camera records upto 720p.

With 15 camera effects to choose from, some including, Miniature, Selfie Panorama, Slow-Motion, Time Lapse, GIF Animation, Time Rewind and Smart Remove that removes moving objects like passer-by’s from the background.

At the price of 18,999/-, not only do you get your money’s worth but you also get an audio cover worth 2,999/- . The audio cover fits onto the back of the tablet just like a glove. The speaker of the audio cover is DTS-HD tuned and produces a 5.1 surround sound. This audio cover doubles as a speaker and a protective cover for your Asus tablet.

Not all tablets support calling and 4G but this one does so let’s get onto those skyping sessions!

The ZenPad 8.0 comes with 2GB RAM, 16 GB of internal storage and 3G/4G connectivity. All other specifications are standard like Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, expandable storage upto 128GB and a long lasting 4000mAh battery.

The tablet runs on Android 5.0 with ZenUI. The ZenUI is really easy to use and highly customizable for your every need. With the ASUS PC-Link you can easily transit between content on your tablet and PC.

The ZenPad 8.0 comes in three colors – Black, White and Aurora Metallic. Get your hands on your favorite one now!

The Style Compile FINAL Review - The ASUS ZenPad 8.0 is not only power efficient and but also cost effective. From college goers to business professionals, this tablet has something for all! Every gadget has its cons, but I think we can get past the cons of this tablet and definitely give this one a try!
