#EasyChic with Nine West

The vintage crochet has a certain nostalgic charm to it. I still tend to stop and stare at women who oh-so adorably knit numerous items of clothing for their loved one. Call it my love for the seventies or the sheer delight of adorning such a light weight fabric, crochet has become a summer wardrobe staple.
Speaking of crochet, I recently styled a super fun and comfortable look for NINE WEST where I was given these Pink Ankle Strap Wedge Sandals.

Wedges are a must have for those who want to walk or dance around with style. They are comfortable and lend the perception of an added height.

I browsed through the Spring/Summer collection of BEBE India and several trials later, I picked a pair of comfortable denim dungarees, crochet top and a pearl embellished denim jacket that I planned to carry it on my shoulder as an accessory. Not only did this beige crochet fringed top from BEBE keep me cool but it also turned up the heat at the shoot.

I wanted to keep the look more REAL and WEARABLE considering the number of girls who still shy away from wearing short dresses or dungarees. Also, what is style without a little light layering?

Whether you are short or tall, thin or fat, there is a dungaree for every body type. Dungarees are a gift to womankind considering how effectively they hide our fat thighs and ample breasts.

To complete the look, I coordinated the accessories with the gold buttons on the pockets. I sourced these twisted golden hoops and a bunch of stacked bracelets from BEBE India and finished the look with a fresh and dewy luminous makeup with fuschia lips from INGLOT.

NINE WEST has a delectable collection of Handbags and Footwear. Whether you are just fresh out of college or a working woman, they have a wide range of handbags and footwear just for YOU. These Pink Sandal Wedges have accentuated my sporty look along with a hint of feminine. You can also switch these wedges with sneakers for a downright sports-luxe look.

Quick Summer Makeup Tips With InstaGlam By Maybelline

Although summer is coming to an end, living here we know that its summer all the time in India! So recently I decided to collaborate with InstaGlam (Maybelline India’s blog: and decided to share a few easy and quick Sumer Makeup tips!

Here are a few summer makeup tips we swear by to keep your skin glowing, cheeks blushing and eyes & lips popping:

1.       Start With Your Skin

Your skin is always most important so don’t overwhelm it with too much makeup and make sure you always protect it. A light BB Cream would do the trick to keep your skin glowing, blemishes hidden and always breathing. You can try Maybelline’s Clear Glow BB Cream to stay light and SPF protected this summer.

2.       Protect Your Pout

Do you love pouting? We do! And we always remember to protect our skin with some SPF but what about your lips? Because your lips are two times thinner than your skin make sure to keep your lip balm with you at all time especially during the summers.  Stay SPF 20 protected with Maybelline’s Baby Lips and keep taking those sun-kissed selfies!

3.       Be Waterproof
Waterproof is the way to go now girls! Especially for our humid summers we need to use waterproof eye liners and mascaras to keep our makeup from running down our cheeks. Also, remember to only use mascara on your top lash to avoid dark marks under your eyes.  You can try Maybelline’s Colossal Volum’ Express Mascara, their Colossal Kajal and their Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Liner.

4.       Blush A Little

In the hot summer, stick to powder blush versus cream blush to allow your skin to breathe and cheeks to glow. To hide the fluster on your face, from the heat, get the perfect combination of color and glow with Maybelline’s Cheeky Glow Blush.

5.       Keep It Light

Less is always more, so stick to only touching up those trouble spots with your foundation or concealer rather than cover your entire face. Keep it dry and try using more powders over liquids.

6.       Go Glowing Vs. Greasy

Stick to powders and light makeup on your skin like Maybelline’s Dream Satin Skin Powder.  And to make your face pop fill it up with colorful liners, eye shadows and don’t forget your lips! Light lipsticks and gloss both work well in the summer.

7.       Brighten Up Your Face
Don’t shy away from makeup this summer, you’ve got all your tips to make sure you look flawless so now let’s experiment! Summer is all about the bright colors and having fun in the sun so glam up those eyes, lips and tips.

#TSCGoesDubai - Round up of 2 of my Favorite Summer #OOTD

It's the month of May and the heat in Dubai is bound to boil you up. Inspite of the 45 degree temperature, you tend to feel cold when visiting your favorite malls and travelling in the metro or the bus. One needs balance the heat and cold and plan the outfits accordingly so as to not freeze you or burn you to death. Here are my two favorite outfits that achieved the perfect hot/cold balance and helped me stay sane.

1. I paired my grey full sleeved crop top from Limeroad with these ripped shorts from Krauss Jeans that I shopped from the Reliance Trends Store. You can pair up a bright neon yellow/pink statement neckpiece or go the #Dylanlex way by pairing up a statement layered oxidized neckpiece from Youshine, like I did. A sling bang to carry your makeup essentials and nude ankle flats for a day of walking around comfortably. This versatile neckpiece from Youshine has recently become my favorite and do not be surprised if you see me wearing it every week. You can shop this neckpiece by clicking on the Product of the Week section on the Homepage!

2. I visited the beautiful Miracle Garden in Dubai and since everything at the Garden is constructed using flowers. I opted for the net sleeved floral cum sporty top from the Reliance Trends Store and paired it with my Cut-Out Leggings from StalkBuyLove.

#TSCGoesDubai - Travel in Style

Visiting different countries and cities is a wonderful experience especially when the destination is a happening place like Dubaaai. For my flight from Bombay to Dubai, I opted for Jeans, a camisole and a white Jacket considering that the temperature in the airplane is extremely cold. What I realized was that the jacket did keep me warm. But, I eventually felt uncomfortable due to my skinny jeans. So, for my flight from Dubai to Bombay, I opted for a Maxi Dress! With an earthy olive color and handcrafted cotton fabric, I felt much more comfortable and easy to move around. Dress it up or down, you are bound to look good and feel good in a maxi dress.
What I love about this KharaKapas maxi dress is that it is 100% pure cotton along with its pleats in malmal (which is recently becoming my favorite fabric for summers) and that it has side pockets! When you are wearing a dress and you have your luggage to check in and passports in your sling and your phone in your hand, you need to be a superwoman to multi task! With pockets, the hassle of multitasking surely decreases to an enormous extent!
I added a bright yellow tassled belt to my maxi dress and earrings in the same color to coordinate with the minimal floral print details on the dress.

You can buy Khara Kapas' affordable and stylish clothes from their website - or at

#TSCGoesDubai - OOTD at the Burj Khalifa

As a tourist in Dubai, one cannot escape not going to the Burj Khalifa. It's colossal height and impeccable architecture with its spherical tip makes it stand out and noticeable from any and every place in Dubai.
As an Indian Fashion Blogger, I opted for something that was edgy yet incorporated an element of India. The history of the tie dye technique can be dated back to pre-historic times where the  Bandhani saree were worn at royal weddings. As years passed, the tie dye print has evolved and experimented into using the same technique for the invention of different patterns. Hence, I wore this tie-dye long maxi cape from URBAN PITARA as a statement piece. Underneath the cape I am wearing a Jockey White Camisole and shorts from Hill Road. I kept my outfit simple and comfortable because it was almost 45 degrees in Dubai and I did not want to sweat it out. What I love about this Cape from URBAN PITARA is that it gives me the perfect layering look in the summers. Wear it over shorts and camisole or wear over a maxi dress, you are sure to catch a lot of eyes!

London Lover - TSCxTSJ

“Strangers are friends we haven’t met yet” or so they say.
Call it destiny or faith; I met Aashna Shroff of The SnobJournal at a college fest that I never intended to attend. Unlike others, who treat bloggers as a competition, Aashna was different. Within 2 minutes of our meet, we clicked!
The next time we met, the meeting was more of a planned meeting.  We sipped on coffees, clicked selfies and decided to collaborate for a blogpost.

Call her cute, goofy or hard working, no amount of positive adjectives can describe Aashna and her persona. She’s one of the most successful bloggers along with being the founder of E-Store The Snob Shop. With a following of more than 50k+ fans, young budding fashionista’s relate to her sense of style and look upto her as an inspiration.

I am so glad to have found a friend in this bundle of cuteness and I am never letting her go! She's my #LondonLover.

Aashna and I, both are a lover of prints and so we decided to flaunt our wild side on The Style Compile and Get Pouty on The Snob Journal

Reliance Trends' Spring/Summer Collection

With affordable style and comfort quality clothing, RelianceTrends introduced its Spring/Summer Collection that incorporated floral prints, mesh crop tops and tie-dye prints.

As a part of the Summer Runway Project, 10 super stylish bloggers were chosen to shop and create looks from Reliance Trends Spring/Summer Collection. From office attires and chic college styles to indo-western separates, they have something for every age and occupation.

For me, style is all about being comfortable in your own skin. I had my eyes set on denim and cotton shorts which were in solid and printed colors along with being ripped. Also, floral and palm print trousers which could easily make a statement with just a camisole and crop tops that were sporty and oversized that could be worn as an off-shoulder top too.

My favorite brands that consisted of wearable fashion were DNMX, Intribe and Fusion.

If you are looking for jogger pants, printed denim shorts or capris, you will find them in DNMX!

Intribe is based on the Ramp to Rack/Reality Principle. It is trendy and upbeat with faux leather bodycon dresses, sporty numbered tops and sequined tanks.

Fusion consists of a vibrant blend of western and ethnic drapes. Bold and eye catching colors with Indian geometric prints that are bound to make you stand out from the crowd.

I picked up my shopping basket at Reliance Trends and started stuffing it with apparels that I found interesting. In less than 10 minutes, my basket was full and I had probably over-shopped. The staff at the RelianceTrends store was so helpful. They guessed my waist and clothing size right and I did not feel the need to come out of the trial room asking for another size. Perfection at its best!

After almost 3 trials, I decided on two looks! Summer is all about being comfortable and being able to breathe rather than layering heaps of clothes on you. Hence, I chose this ripped denim shorts from Krauss Jeans and a sporty floral numbered top from Intribe that gave me a sporty edge! I paired the same ripped denim shorts with a mesh crop top from Fig and tied a denim jacket from DNMX around my waist. In this heat, you certainly cannot expect me to wear it over my top right? Tying your shirt around the waste makes your look more grungy and sporty!
So here's my two sporty looks :

Make sure you follow Reliance Trends on Facebook and Twitter as you can win one of my looks for yourself!
