Some of us are already back from a vacation while some of us are off to another vacation. Between the hectic partying and enjoying our holiday sightseeing, we tend to ignore our skin. Given that it is summer, most of us want to lay down by the beach or take a dip into the cool water in the pool. The after-effects of forgetting to wear sunscreen is clearly visible on the skin as an ugly tan! Unlike the others, my skin gets tanned very easily even after apply sunscreen.

Lemon Juice, Cucumber and Rose Water – A lot of websites may tell you to slice a lemon and rub it onto your face. But, the harsh citric acid content in lemon is bound to burn your skin. Take one tablespoon of lemon juice, cucumber extract and some rose water and mix it well and apply to the tanned area. Let it stay for 15 minutes and then, have a bath. Don’t forget to moisturize!
Multani Mitti with Aloe Vera and Rose Water – One of my favorite face packs for de-tanning and getting rid of all the dust settled on my skin due to the pollution. Apply this pack twice a week and get rid of skin tan instantly!
Gram Flour, Curd, Tumeric and Milk – Mix two tablespoons of gram flour with one tablespoon of curd, one teaspoon of turmeric and one teaspoon of milk and apply regularly for a week to experience immediate results.
Sugar and Lemon Juice – Sugar acts like an exfoliator when mixed with lemon juice. Take half a cup of sugar and one tablespoon of lemon juice. Mix it well and apply to tanned areas.
Coconut Water and Coconut Malai – First apply three teaspoons of coconut water on your face. Let it stay for 15 minutes. Wash it off and apply coconut malai on your face. Wash it off after 10 minutes. Repeat twice a day and every alternate day for a week.
