Diwali OOTD

A day in our life when we take a break from all the hustle and bustle of our workaholic lives and relive the childhood and light candles and make rangoli's - The festival of Diwali. There's a kid in all of us and we all get tempted towards bursting crackers. For me, I'd like to think that instead of spending a grand or two on these crackers that are perished and are temporary moments of fun, one could spend the same amount on buying clothes that would last you a year or two.

One could go the over the top and accessories or go the simple way like I did.

I really like the mirror work on this long kurta. I could wear it as a long shirt dress to college or work. Infact, today morning I wore it like a shirt dress but was stopped by the mother and told to put the churidar :P Well, on this day how can I say no to her especially when it is her birthday!

What are you wearing today? Let me know by commenting below
Also, have a very Safe and Stylish DIWALI <3 p="">
Long Kurti - Gifted.
Churidar - Shoppers Stop
Cuff, Ring and Earrings - Youshine
Footwear - Hill Road
Lipstick - Faces Poppy Red

Lots of love,

Get Winter Ready with Reliance Trends

As the weather in India get colder and we approach winter, woolens and knitwear return to the spotlight. Wool is famous for its super comfort and versatility. Also, full sleeves should be your must have in this season along with solid plain colors.
When I randomly did a post on Reliance Trend’s Summer Collection for MEN, I received quite a lot of response with people sending me pictures of what they bought from the collection after I posted my favorites. Also, a lot of women and teenage girls sent me a request to review their collection since they felt left out.
So, it’s ALMOST winter and the festive season is around the corner, women just got another reason to SHOP! What’s better than to SHOP and SAVE? How awesome is that now! So, I stepped into the nearest Reliance Trends (Read: When it comes to SAVE, I think of RELIANCE TRENDS) to get you women some of my favorites!

This is a priority if you want to beat the cold with lots of glitz and glam. It keeps you warm and you can take this top from day to night! Also, it's available in a baby pink color.

10 Best Emergency Home Remedies for Pimples!

Modellist-id is based on a community of Fashion Models, all of them working for well respected Model Agency’s world wide. Modellist-id aims to build social capital by providing a variety of on-line and off-line services dedicated to enhancing the over-all experience of life as a model.

Everyone has felt that utter horror when you notice that you’ve got a pimple, and somehow it’s always on the day before an important casting or even worse on the day of a shoot…
When it's too late to run to the stores, you should try one of my top 10 best home remedies (or try all of them if you're really desperate: Below you'll find a list that can get rid of that awful pimple.

1. Ice Cubes

Ice cubes will shrink the redness and inflammation of a pimple and make it less noticeable.

2. Toothpaste

Apply a very small amount of toothpaste on the pimple before you go to bed, and when you wake up it should have drastically reduced in size.

3. Garlic

This is one of the most smelliest acne home remedies that I've ever known, so people don't choose this remedy if your next day emergency is a first date:D!
If you rub raw garlic on and around the problem areas several times a day, you can clear up your skin. You may also eat three seeds of raw garlic once a day for a month to see results. The garlic seeds purify the blood, which help keeping pimples away.

4. Orange Peel

After orange peels are pounded and combined with water to a paste, apply it only to the affected area and watch the results!

5. Honey

Honey has antimicrobial properties, so it’s especially great for acne prone skin types.
Dab a small amount of honey on the pimple as soon as the head becomes visible. Put a band-aid on it, and go to sleep. When you wake up, it’ll be gone! Don't forget to moisturize afterwards!

6. Oatmeal

Cook some oatmeal and apply it, when it's cool enough, to the face. Lay down and leave it on for about fifteen minutes and then wash it off. The swelling and the redness should be gone and the pimple should be visibly reduced! This oatmeal mask is soothing, effective, and not irritating!

7. Lemon

Overnight apply a bit of fresh lemon juice to the pimple to reduce its size and intensity. Wash it off with water the next morning. Use this home remedy only if your skin is not sensitive.

8. Vinegar

Put a very small amount of vinegar in a pan, as it could sting otherwise, and let it boil.  If you have sensitive skin, boil some water in a pan and add a bit of vinegar. Put your face over the pan for about 5 minutes.

9. Potato

Slice a raw potato and place it on top of your pimple. Leave it for five to seven minutes. It helps with healing as well as reducing the swelling and inflammation of the pimple.

10. Cucumber

Try applying grated cucumber over the face and neck for the treatment of pimples and blackheads. This process should only take 15-20 minutes of your time. You can also ad 2-3 teaspoons of lemon juice to the grated cucumber and mix it until you'll have a paste and apply it on the affected area.

Emergency Tip: Eye Drops

It's not really a "home remedy" but in case you have a bottle laying around, this is a very effective emergency treatment!
Refreshing eye drops, especially Visine, will reduce the redness and swelling of the pimple, which is perfect if you are already out and have a real emergency! Then cover the pimple with a bit concealer if necessary.

Hello October. Hello Fall

Fall is a transitional weather from the hard hitting sunny summer to the cold winter. Since the Fall season lies in between these two extreme weathers, it is kind of confusing to layer our outfits.
A leather moto - jacket will always be my go-to piece when it comes to fall or winter! Also, the color maroon or black can be incorporated in your wardrobe. Invest in scarves, booties and knitwear and you’re set for the Fall season.
I chose to pair up a leather jacket with black cotton shorts and my thigh high booties! I wore a subtle nude color knit camisole underneath the leather jacket to give a balance to the weather. For the makeup, I chose a darker palette with black smokey eyes and oxblood lips.
And most importantly, wear what you are comfortable in!

Leather Jacket - Gifted
Boots - Gifted
Knit Camisole - Borrowed from Grand mother's closet
Bracelet - Colaba Causeway
Cotton Shorts- Hill Road
