What Men Think Of Fashion

Most women dress to impress! And who do they want to impress? The MEN!
Early in the morning, they stand in front of their closet with the clich├ęd don't have anything to wear! They take hours to dress up and try to fetch for compliments from their date. But, guys don't always speak up about 'WHAT THEY THINK OF FASHION.'

Hence, The Style Compile took a poll and got you the uninhibited guys opinion on Fashion:

"High waisted jeans without crop tops or crop sweaters are just MOM Jeans."

"Printed Leggings??? Leggings have prints??? Oh... you mean the panty line print??"

"That Ass looks fine in those tight leggings!"

"Plump chicks wear it and ruin my eyes. Also, many of them are see through!"

"Hair bows are Retro! Combine that with a bright lipstick and I'm SOLD."
"Are you still in Kinder garden? I don't want to date a Baby"

"Bright Red Lipstick makes you look like a clown."
"I don't want to get that RED color all over my lips."

"Open Side Tee's = Open Side Tease"
"Open Side Tee's Depend on who is wearing it and what's underneath..."
"If a girl has a nice tattoo on her then wear the shit out of it... Wear it everyday"

"Guys don't fantasize about kissing racoons"

"Seems that a giant Glitter tube sharted on her face"

"With each aspect of makeup, be it eyes and lips or anything, one part should be focused and the other neutral... Too much of everything and one enters SLUTSVILLE."

"The color Neon makes you look like a  Colored LIGHT BULB or a GLOWSTICK."

"It makes you look like you are wearing the foreman's uniform"

"Difference between a girl and a lady. Girls wear NEON"

"Only Rihanna can rock that"

"A Dupatta can cover more than what Sheer can"

BEBE Outfit Post

Bebe India recently launched their Tropic Rendezvous collection and I was one of the lucky few people who got an opportunity to wear their collection. The theme I had to dress to was "Clubbing".

I have been a fan of the Monochrome trend for quite sometime now. Instead of opting for the stereotypical tropical prints and colorful patterns, I chose to don a striped Peplum with Shiny Jeggings. Since, my outfit was quite simplistic, I chose to accessorize it with long danglers, statement neck piece and some arm candy.

*Whenever you dress up, always remember to stick to a similar metallic color. For example, my earrings were silver and hence, I wore a similar color neckpiece. For my wrist, I stuck to gold accents since my heels had golden spikes.

I love how the stripes in my Peplum don't go in a similar pattern and accentuate every part of my body.

Get Clubbing ready with BEBE and check out my look :

Danglers -
Neckpiece - BEBE
Arm Candy - Aldo and BEBE
Peplum top - BEBE
Bottom wear - BEBE
Candy floss pink Bag - BEBE

Under my Umbrella

Come monsoon and we all start cribbing about the puddles and the muck all around us. Yes, I do crib about the dirt but I also crib about how the rains keep me away from looking my best. For starters, I cannot wear the color white or flirty dresses. But, I can look stylish with my only monsoon accessory – Umbrella. No, not the old (read : ugly) Black Umbrella. This season, we all could look stylish with umbrella's. Welcome the Rain God’s this year with these quirky and fashionable umbrella’s:

Meet Santoshi Shetty

Incase, you did not get the memo, Instagramming your #OOTD is here to stay. Santoshi Shetty who is a 4th year B.Arch (architecture) student has a tremendous fan following on Instagram. Girls like me crave for a friend to talk to about fashion. Well, whoever is one of her friends, is one lucky b***h! Her outfits will make you run to high street brands and shop till you haven't achieved perfection. THE STYLE COMPILE stalked her Instagram pictures and got you all an exclusive interview :

What inspires you and what do you like to wear more frequently?

Well, I have a thing for Indian !! Its always been my favourite and something I always get frenzy about .. pairing with Jumkas and all that jazz haha!
It looks so beautiful on every girl for me :)
But otherwise, I prefer to experiment and go versatile .I love to try things out! Just want the fitting to be good enough.. And also I love wearing stuff which are comfortable. Always looking for Comfort at the first place. Carrying each look with confidence is what matters.
Also, I wear clothes according to the location and occasions.
Since I'm still a student , travelling by train in Mumbai.. Jeans, tees, strappy chappals are easy for me for the routine.

Where do you shop? Off the Streets or high street brands? (Something all her followers want to know ;) )
Ahaan. No High street brands please. I have to go to college everyday and I hate repeating clothes lol. Street shopping is something that I would always prefer.. Since, My colg is in Bandra..things have become easier for me.. I know all the nooks and corners.. Where I pick my stuff from haha!
Okay, apart from the streets.. F21 ofcourse.. Common who doesn't like f21! Amazing stuff , good prices. That is what a girl would dream for right! If you ask for the actual dream or the plan.. to get married to the f21's owner's son. Lol.
And other brands where I have picked some of my stuff from.. Zara, ONLY, Veromoda, Max , Splash, HnM, Mango and promode. Hmmm. .. Yes!

What are your hobbies?

Well as you know Im an architecture student. Which is my mainstream.. So that way Fashion is my hobby... Keeping my self updated .. Looking for things online..experimenting.. Instagraming. And checking my mails and replying to my Instagram followers. Lol.
Oh Btw Dancing and swimming happens too in my free time.. Hankering for fitness.

Sonakshi Sinha's Lacey Affair

Lace has been a raging trend for the past year with celebrities experimenting with lace cutouts and off shoulder lace gowns.  But, Sonakshi Sinha has been seen time and again in lace dresses, whether it is in her movies or at promotional events. Recently, I was watching a music video of her newly released movie 'Holiday' where she is seen dancing in a black lace dress. That is when I instantly recalled of her 'Tamanche Pe Disco' music video from the movie Bullett Raja where she dons a similar red lace dress.
Is Sonakshi Sinha afraid to experiment or is her stylist stuck in a style rut? See for yourself:

Tropical Rendezvous - An event of fashion and fun

Amidst the summer heat and pre monsoon showers, we had a delightful rendezvous with Bebe’s Tropic collection.

Think tropical, think fashion, style and think celebration. A tropical themed event was hosted by Stephanie Timmins from Fiesty Fox Diaries at the Bebe Store at Linking Road.

Those of you all who are looking to add bold prints to their wardrobe are in luck! Bebe’s tempting tropical collection will make you feel like you are holidaying away in this summer heat.

The collection references the vibrant rainbow colors and the exuberance associated with exotic holiday locations like Miami and Bali.

Bebe has all the holiday essentials one could wish for this season, including light weight fabrics, flowing maxi dresses, leotards, flirty peplum and kimono tops and effortlessly stylish statement neck pieces.

Animal prints, butterfly prints, cut out dresses, eye catching colors and bold prints gave this versatile collection a tropical glow. The pattern and prints come in refreshing hues of blues and greens and hints of animal print that make you feel like you are relaxing on a sandy beach.

Fashion ruled over the Bebe event hosted by the gorgeous Stephanie where bloggers came together dressed by the laws of La Isla Bonita.

The event started off with sparkling wine and red velvet cupcakes. Me + wine + cupcakes = Best day! Slurrrpp!!

Bloggers had to then pick a chit and style themselves or their model within twenty minutes according to the given theme. I was given the theme ‘Clubbing.’

When you hear the word clubbing, one thinks of wearing a LBD or a sequined dress. Well, I never stick to a given stereotype and hence, I opted for something more comfortable like this pair of shimmer jeggings and a striped peplum top. Since my whole ensemble was monochrome, I added a pop of color with a pink handbag from Bebe and jazzed up my look further with a blingy neckpiece. Once I was ready, I walked the ramp and posed! Tadaaaa!
After the much need paparazzi posing, we headed to the photobooth to capture more fun moments! We were given such cute props that I could not resist getting clicked.

Here's my pick from their Tropic Rendezvous Collection that Ragini Khanna ended up wearing! :)

Here's some more pictures from the event! :)
