Style Resolutions for 2014

We all make resolutions and we all break them. But, we really do need a style check every once a while.

After weeks and weeks of thinking, I came up with three resolutions:

“365 Days of clutter free wardrobe”
I am one of those lazy people who spend time sleeping instead of cleaning out the closet, folding and ironing my clothes. No more! I resolve to enter 2014 with a clutter free closet with all my clothes neatly folded and ironed!

“To don the Pantone Color of The Year”
I couldn’t be happier with the Pantone color of the year- RADIANT ORCHID which is subtle, romantic and feminine! Radiant orchid is a pleasing blend of fuchsia, purple and pink undertones! I am on the lookout for the perfect orchid color maxi dress!

“To experiment with accessories”
My heart sulks every time I look at Shoplune’s unconventional accessories. High time I experimented with maang tikka’s, armlets, midi rings and ear cuffs!

Here are the three best style resolutions from the followers of THE STYLE COMPILE:

"To enhance my collection by constantly buying new clothes, bags and shoe's" - Ayushi Porwal

"To go from Swag to Class since this year boasted of Neon's. Would try keeping it classy and edgy next year with Monochromes or the good old white shirt and blue denim jeans." - Samrat Chokshi

"Going to try something new this year like Jackets. But, the weather in Mumbai won't permit it" - Kayne Martin.

Not all of us believe in the out with the old and in with the new wardrobe resolutions. Hence, The STYLE COMPILE asked some of the prominent style experts about their style resolutions for 2014.

Anaita Shroff Adajania (Fashion Director, Vogue India Magazine and Costume Stylist)

Her resolution is "to wear more saris casually!"

Divyak D'souza (Deputy Fashion Editor, Femina India Magazine)

His resolution is "Quality over Quantity: To shop investment pieces/ versatile classics; look to budget friendly luxe-premium/Indian designer"

Nandini Bhalla (Editor, Cosmopolitan India Magazine )

Her resolution is "To figure out ways to work my existing wardrobe. No to new top, yes to old top worn differently!"

Kresha Bajaj (owner of online store Koëcsh)

Her resolution is "I don't believe in resolutions. I feel that one should follow what one believes in no matter what time of the year"
